Lent is no time to leave the resurrection of Jesus Christ in the shadows. Especially this Lent, when the news in the world is of war and rumors of war, when you face problems in your life that seem hopeless...this Lent is no time to put Easter off.
"I have set the Lord always before me” (Psalm 16:8). Put Him before you, this One who conquered death. This is not just wishful thinking. 2000 years ago people saw that the message of resurrection had turned the world upside down (Acts 17:6).
Alive, before you, He testifies that the power of sin and evil has been broken. Faith promises that whatever bad is happening in your world is in fact the death rattle of that doomed enemy.
With resurrection, He brings a future. "I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you a hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).
"I will be with you always” (Matthew 28:20). Take Him out of your peripheral vision and set Him before your face. "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).
