Hi, Christian here! Daddy and Mommy took us to Oma and Opa’s. I watched the Super Bowl but Denver was lousy. So I went into the other room and played Wi.
Connor here. I was in the TV room but bored. I was looking for trouble. Oma said I should go play Wi too. I did. Good idea, Oma!
Nicholas here. I stayed in the room with the old people. I crawled all around and pulled myself up. Pulled myself up and went for Super Bowl snacks. Pulled myself up and reached for the TV. Pulled myself up and pulled down an end table. Crash! Down came the end table, the lamp, and Opa’s drink. I got all wet. You have to watch me every minute.
Opa’s turn. More going on than Super Bowl! A new book, “Families and Faith” by Professor Vern Bengston, studies how families transmit faith from one generation to the next. “Setting a good example, teaching the right beliefs and practices, keeping strictly to the law” are not “sufficient for transmission.” “Emotional bonding” is needed. Crashes and all, God bless families! (WSJ, January 27, A11; NY Times, February 1, A13)
