“There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven.” )Ecclesiastes 3:1 That’s helpful to remember when you can’t understand what God is doing in your life.
“Just as I am” begins the popular hymn. “Just as I am without one plea, but that Thy blood was shed for me And that Thou bidd’st me come to Thee, O Lamb of God, I come, I come.”
That’s all well and good, but how do you explain the tough struggles you’re going through? If God loves you just as you are, then why is this happening to me?
“My child, don’t turn away or become bitter when the Lord corrects you. The Lord corrects everyone He loves, just as parents correct their favorite child.” (Porverbs 3:11-12)
Yes, God accepts you just as you are but He loves you so much that He doesn’t leave you just as you are. In Christ He foregives you, He gives you hope, and He’s training you up for glory. To everything a season. In every season of your life, God loves you.
